BSE-Sofia's main mission is to facilitate the establishment and development of an organized capital market which would guarantee the members of the Exchange and the clients of the said members equal access to market information and equal conditions for participation in trading in securities.
BSE-Sofia organizes and maintains a system for trading in financial instruments and developes and improves additional products and services to the investors.
The trading system of BSE-Sofia is Xetra®. The system is introduced on 16.06.2008 and replaces the RTS trading system which is the original trading system of BSE since 2000. Xetra® is one of the most modern and technically advanced systems in the world and its development is a prerequisite for the development of the local capital market. The Xetra® system offers wide variety of functions and supports more different types of orders, compared to RTS, and provides the investors with the opportunity of using more complicated investment strategies.
BSE-Sofia has its own unique internet-based system for electronic placement of orders which purpose is to assist the investors in placing their orders for tarding in financial instruments. Since its implementation in 2003 the system has been constantly improving to meet the increasing demands of the investors: mew modules are being implemented, the quality of operation of the system is being raised, and new functionalities are being added.
